This role will educate & guide our talented teams of nail technicians toward the highest standard for customer experience. The Market Trainer plays a critical role: a new hire's success and development begins in the first 90 days and the Market Trainer is expected to own that process beginning to end. This role requires the Market Trainer to efficiently train, adjust their training style to the needs of the trainee, continue their own self development in the nail industry, and be a point of continued support for the team and store leadership.. This role needs a Market Trainer who possesses an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to wear many hats as the business needs.

About The Market Trainer
Key Responsibilities:
- This role requires a cosmetologist (nail) license. The Market Trainer can be expected to train up to 90% of their week and recruit 10% of their week, or whatever the needs of the business require.
- If the Market Trainer is not training new hires or recruiting at schools, they are expected to be in the shop with the team supporting team members, planning and facilitating nail art & Gel-X classes, and providing feedback on skill & technique as it is applicable.
- Ensure the continual improvement of Customer Experience. Which includes but is not limited to partnering with the in-shop leadership team around guest feedback, and total team performance of new initiatives or services.
- Will train and develop team members to ensure continual improvement and achievement of their goals. This will include ongoing education around but not limited to: Gel-X, all levels of nail art, luminary, custom massage, customer service, the 4x4 selling method and any new initiatives the company rolls out. This role requires a leader who has a dedication to ensuring each team member is executing our services & experience to the brand standards.
- Will conduct and deliver new hire performance assessments and coaching at the 30, 60, and 90 day mark. The Trainer will partner directly with the store leadership to support a plan for progress with the new hires.
- Will deliver monthly 15 minute touch bases with each team member to check in and provide feedback or coaching that is needed. This is a great time to celebrate success too!
- Ensure compliance with Sanitation and Safety procedures; ensure all safety procedures are executed according to health/sanitation regulations; take corrective actions, as appropriate

- Responsible for 90% retention rate in the first 90 days for all new hires.
- This role has a schedule that will vary to support needs of the business and will include variety of evening/morning/weekend shifts
- This role does not max out at 40 hours, and will adjust as the business needs.
Essential Qualifications:
- Leadership experience preferred (1-2 years)
- Instructing or Teaching experience preferred (1-2 years)
- Must clearly communicate and set expectations
- Must address situations with a solutions orientation
- Must maintain organization and demonstrate preparedness
- Must ensure store maintains integrity in service quality
- Must have a current Cosmetology or Nail Technician license
