Fall 2022 Nail Trends

The change in seasons is upon us, which means fall fashion is quickly approaching. Not sure what to get on your next trip to the nail salon? We’ve got you covered! We asked our expert nail technicians what trends they expect to see this fall.

Trend #1: Metallics

Metallic nails were the trend overwhelmingly mentioned by nail techs. Olivia, our Dublin Shop Manager, says, “I think we’re going to see a lot of metallics making a big comeback this fall! Everything from full chrome nails to hints of metallic on more nude/shear tones.” And the industry agrees! This article from Beauty Crew highlights how the nail trend dominated the red carpet at the 2022 MTV VMAs.

Trend #2: Glazed Donut

Hailey Bieber set this trend on fire this year, and it’s not going away any time soon. We anticipate continuing to see glazed donut nail art requests. In addition to the classic light pink or nude base, we have seen bold colors paired with chrome such as neons. No matter what shade chrome is paired with, the design is sure to be stunning.

Trend #3: Gradients

The fall season is full of rich colors, which make gradients a popular request this time of the year. Nudes, warm tones, reds, and oranges are in high demand, and we’re here for it! Mis-matched nails have become increasingly popular this year, if not a gradient with a different color on each nail, many guests are loving unique designs on each nail. Non-traditional nails to express creativity are some of our favorite looks.

Trend #4: Foil Leaves 

Gold foil is a popular nail art choice in the fall months to compliment the seasonal shades in changing leaves. Gold foil in leaf designs? It’s the perfect way to usher in the chilling temperatures, bonfires, PSL, and football season.
