It’s one thing to be a nail tech, but it’s another thing to be a nail tech at The W Nail Bar!
Top quality manicures and pedicures are kind of our thing (no harsh chemicals here!), and we’re all about a warm, comforting environment for our community. Turns out, people really love that, including our nail techs!
We don’t mean to brag, but we love what we do here, and we can’t keep the secret any longer. That’s why we sat down with one of our amazing employees, Ashley Rayburn, to get the 411.
How long have you been working at The W?
I've been with The W for almost a year.
What made you decide to join us? In other words, what sealed the deal to make you want to work here over any other nail salon?
I loved the idea of an all-natural nail bar, and that it was just that....NAILS. I was working elsewhere, but was a client of The W and the more women I met, the more I wanted to be a part of this team. I was also blown away by the individuality that The W encouraged. Everyone had their own style and vibe to them, and that's when I knew that's where I needed to be.
Being a nail tech sounds like a dream. When did you know you wanted to be one?
I knew I wanted to be a nail technician when I was 16 and taking the cosmetology course at a technical school. I loved doing my own nails all the time.
What do you love most about working here?
I love being a part of such a badass group of women. Everyone I’ve met so far has positively impacted my life and who I am as person in such a short amount of time.
Favorite nail color. Go!
My favorite nail color is Lincoln Park After Dark or.....black ;)
What’s the most common question/nail dilemma your clients ask you? How do you respond?
The most common question would be ‘do my nails need a break/to breath?’ Answer: NO! Your nails don't need a break as long as they're being removed properly and you are using your cuticle oil every couple of days.
A huge thank you to Ashley for telling her W Nail Bar love story!
